Leicester Business Festival: last few days to submit events - Press Release
Businesses wishing to host an event in the Leicester Business Festival (LBF) have only a few days left to submit their applications, before the closing date of 31st August.
Nearly 100 event applications have been submitted over summer period with more expected to arrive over the remaining few days.
The Festival, partnered by Leicester Castle Business School, is a fortnight of business events taking place across the city and county between 23rd October and 3rd November.
The aim is to encourage investment and business growth across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland for the benefit of all who live, do business and work there.
Any business or organisation can apply to host an event, which can take any shape from a seminar or workshop through to a trade show or major conference.
Scott Knowles, chair of the LBF Steering Group said: “We’ve capped the number of events at 150 and we’re getting close to that limit, so I would urge businesses to get their applications in as soon as possible, before the closing date of 31 August to give their events a chance of being included.
“This year’s festival promises to be very exciting, with something for everyone, from micro-businesses through to large corporates. We’re confident this year’s is going to be the biggest and best Leicester Business Festival’s in the event’s three-year history.”
Events are being listed on the LBF website as and when they are confirmed. The varied programme will appeal to a diverse audience with events ranging from understanding paid advertising and legal basics for SMEs, to a showcase of Leicester’s innovative and quality designer makers at LCB Depot, and #morethanbasketball – a national basketball conference and exhibition: and first to be held in the UK that is anticipated to attract a high-profile audience from across the country.
Most events are completely free to attend although tickets need to be reserved on line in advance.
